Does topical corticosteroids have side-effects only on the area where you apply it, or it covers larger area? for example, if i applied it on the nose, would it cause side effects on nose or on the whole face?

Just local. The medication in topical agents like this just go down a few layers into the local skin. It does not enter the local blood supply of the rest of the face or the body and effect other areas.
