What are the side effect of taking nasal spray contain corticosteroids for life long?

Not as much as oral: Nasal corticosteroids are thought to have fewer and less severe complications as taking oral steroids. Inhaled steroids can cause hoarseness and candidiasis, oral fungal infection. Less studies have shown the degree of side effects such as skin bruising, skeletal bone loss, or diabetes which can definitely be associated with oral steroids. Still recommend a break in their use for short periods

Nosebleeds: The major side-effect of corticosteroid nasa sprays is nose bleed from directing the spray towards the nasal septum of pushing plastic tip into the nose. Minor effects on children's linear growth & adult bone density have been reported but are rarely clinically noticeable. These sprays may even be used in patients with glaucoma if eye pressures are carefully followed & dose adjustments made.
