Somewhat typical for all blood thinners in general, it is rather superficial bleeding, most of the time self contained, talk to your prescriber in case change in pattern or unexplained bruising.

If you are having evidence of bleeding and you suspect the possibility of internal bleeding, you should return to the Doctor Who put you on the Eliquis for blood testing and evaluation. It may be that you need to have an adjustment of your medication or be on a different medication all together. Good luck.
