Hello! my mom diagnosed with the case of hepatocellular carcinoma bclc b; cld cp a (5) meld na 14 from chronic hepatitis b, decompensated (bleeding esophageal varices) ; anemia, secondary to blood loss. can she eat raw beetroot??

Pl do not use so many acronyms as it becomes incomprehensible. But beet root in moderation should not hurt under any condition. Also you can confirm with the treating MD

Generally, beets and beetroots are a very healthy vegetable and they can be eaten raw. Even with your mother’s hepatocellular carcinoma and decompensated liver disease, there are no major risks as long as she eats the raw beets in moderation. Good luck.
