Bone loss is natural as we age, but poor oral hygiene and loss of teeth accelerate this process. Since you are concerned about bone loss see a dentist or a periodontist for treatment to prevent bone loss. Try to keep the teeth you have ,your too young to seek dentures.

To prevent bone loss the bone needs to be stimulated by a natural tooth or implant. This stimulation keeps the bone solid and prevents degradation. I've placed over 1000 conventional dental implants but not one mini implant since I am not convinced they have the same longevity. At your age you should be concerned about bone loss since you will hopefully be around another 50 years.

Dentures no matter how well made do not prevent primary bone loss, that is bone loss from inflammation and infection ( you need regular cleaning and good home care). By relieving the pressure on the adjacent teeth and maintaining the vertical dimension reducing trauma they prevent or reduce secondary bone loss. Many are rushed to have all teeth removed prematurely. See a good dentist and ask.
