Lab tests need to be interpreted by the physician who ordered them, since I know the clinical situation best, but generally a high platelet count is a relatively benign problem, which usually does not turn into a big deal. If the number continues to rise, however, talk with your physician. Good luck.

Your platelet level appears borderline high, context will be needed in order to further speculate. Sometimes isolated, unexplained abnormal lab values are repeated and eventually they turn out to be normal. Your ordering doc will be best to place it in proper context.
