My mother, aged 59, has been diagnosed with initial stages of osteopenia but is not currently taking any medication and has no complaints. i am wondering if we should consider dental implants? which one is better straumann (slactive)or zimvie?

The implant surgeon will decide make sure to tell him/her of the osteoporosis. Consider vitD and sunlight and physical activity

As long as she is not taking any bisphosphanate, implant can be placed without any problem. Patient that is currently on medication (bisphosphanates) more than four years should discontinue the meds for four month prior to having any kind of bone surgery. Patient then can resume his or her meds after 4 to 6 months.
