I have dental implants in my front four upper teeth. the back of them is exposed metal. i fell asleep with a cough drop in my mouth & woke up to the roof of my mouth & the gums around my front teeth swollen & burn. could it be caused by the cough dro?

The cough drop never dissolved since you fell asleep and the ingredients never dissipated and stuck to your teeth and gums and surrounding areas. Don't fall asleep with anything in your mouth, you could aspirate it.
