The simple answer is "No". Iodine is taken up by the thyroid gland tissue and converted into Thyroid hormones such as Thyroxine. Unless the Iodine is labelled with a Radio-isotope(which is used for treating Thyroid Cancer) there is no risk of causing Cancer from the Iodine is any other form such as its use as a contrast material for Radio-imaging such as use in conjunction with the CT scans.
