A member asked:

Hi doctor, i am currently 37 weeks 2days pregnant. usually my fundal height was measured to the correct gestational age(during 31 weeks fundal height is 31.5cm, and at 35 weeks it's 35cm). but at 37 weeks it measured 36cm. is it a concern or normal?

A 1 cm variation sounds very normal. You can certainly ask the provider who is doing the measurement to verify.

There is a condition called falling forward of the uterus (fundus) which occurs in later stages of pregnancy from lax uterine ligaments which may show fundal height not appropriate to the gestational age. Hence don't worry about intrauterine growth retardation of the fetus.
