Tolerance is not present when the same dose is still effective for your symptoms for many years. However, dependency is likely present and you will develop severe withdrawal symptoms if you stop this medication abruptly. Take care.

I have been on Clonazepam for many years. Im on .5mg daily. I want to taper off of them. My psychiatrist suggested to go to .25mg at night for 2 weeks and then try to take it every other night. I feel thats too fast of a taper. Any advice please?

Ive been taking a combination of Klonopin (2mg) and Dexedrine (15mg) for 30 years. Im agoraphobic with SAD and ADD. I have been PERFECT with this combination, but now need a new Psychiatrist. I cant find one yet who will prescribe both. Advice?
I had a normal MRI & EEG, but my psychiatrist says I could be brain damaged from years of klonopin & xanax (alprazolam). Wouldn't this have shown on the MRI/EEG?
