49 yo f dx w uti wk ago. ecoli via c/s. cefzil worked for 2 days. cipro now, 24 hrs in. feeling slowly better. small brownish debris in urine tonight that is somewhat hard/solid. held its shape collecting it for lab. from uti or is it a stone?

I think it may be a stone as a blood clot wouldn't be hardened. Was your urine culture positive with over 100,000 colonies? Uncomplicated bladder infections from E Coli should be easily treated by Cefzil. Could your symptoms have been caused by a stone in the bladder? Perhaps you have had both a stone and a UTI. Your MD will advise you.

If the dedris feels gritty or sand-like it is from a stone if not -no. In your situation you should see a Urologist. Drink plenty of water
