I'm 30 years old and pregnant, week 7. i have terrible stomach aches and concerend i have h. pilory. is it safe to test it using the breathing test? and if i have it - is it safe to postpone taking care of it after the birth?

The breath test is safe . Other tests are stool antigen test and serum antibody test(endoscopy). If you are positive for the infection there is quadruple therapy with 2 antibiotics, bismuth salt and a proton pump inhibitor .You need to take care of it now if positive for H.pylori ,as decreased micronutrients like iron ,B12 cause anemia,preterm labor, fetal anomaly,fetal growth abn, preeclampsia

Breath test for H. pylori is simple. The 13C test will be used for pregnant people. Your OB doctor will decide if you should be treated or not if the test is positive. Take care.
