Good day. my fianc was put on a very high dosage of cortisones during her pregnancy due to the itp virus. she got off the cortisones 7 months ago after the birth but now gets heart aches out of nowhere that comes and goes. ?

Needs a full exam: ITP = Idiopathic thrombocytopenia purpura - black and blue marks over the skin caused by low platelet count. Most cases BELIEVED to be caused by a virus but no one knows for sure. Whatever the cause (virus?, autoimmune disease?) it COULD be affecting her heart as well, causing pericarditis (inflammation around the heart) or myocarditis (inflammation of the heart itself) Needs a full evaluation
