Can patulous eustachian tube be a form of objective tinnitus? from research i see it can be. wondering if my audible popping can be from that? won't know until i get my ent workup done. and will audiometric tests can diagnose pet? thanks?

I don't accept the idea. Tinnitus comes from random firing of nerve fibers in the auditory nerve. Its origin is often unknown. A patulous Eustachian tube is just a designation for a physical structure distant from and with no direct contact to the auditory nerve. The popping just comes when jaw movement straightens the tube and air enters the middle ear.(normal but sometimes irritating)

Tinnitus is completely different from the sound caused by PET. Take care.
