Yes, there is increasing evidence that due to their increased content in nitrates, beets and beet juice can lower blood pressure among other benefits. Effects may be limited to about 10 mm Hg as shown in some studies and keeping your primary care doc involved along with lifestyle changes, diet and exercise is recommended.
