Anbesol is a topical anesthetic and will only provide limited relief for an erupting wisdom tooth. Your meds are expired and although it won't hurt you, it may not help. Most people don't have enough room for their wisdom teeth so see an oral surgeon for a consultation regarding extraction.

After the "use by" dates on meds, Rx or OTC, the medicines don't become dangerous. They simply loose potency. A better solution would be to see a wisdom tooth specialist, an Oral Surgeon, for an knowledgeable opinion.
