Children under age 15 are not suppose to take 10 mg of Singular, Children age 6 to 14 can take 5 mg of Singular. If your child at age 5 gets symptoms from the 10 mg amount, they could be abdominal pain, sleepiness, thirst, headache, vomiting, and hyperactivity, However, she could also just be fine.

The one time overdose should be tolerable. Watch for signs of sleep disruption and GI side effects. Nasal saline and a children's antihistamine is often effective in reducing allergic symptoms. If she has asthma, a review of her asthma medications may be helpful. Watch for signs of shortness of breath.
