A member asked:

If tested positive for hpv should one also be tested for oral and anal hpv if pap shows positive?

It would be wise for a patient to have an anal HPV test especially if practicing anal intercourse, have HIV or are immune compromised. Regular anal "pap" smears can be done at the same time as vaginal pap smears. Oral testing does not become positive unless there is a lesion already, so no need to do oral HPV tesing, best to just examine for lesions in the oral area.
