Your MS appears to be managed well with appropriate medication. A low fat, low salt diet has been recommended on occasion to provide ancillary support. Aerobic exercise has been helpful. Would advise trying these approaches instead of some of the complex risks associated with your current plans. Have a conference with your neurologist a gastroenterologist, and a dietician.

That kind of weight loss procedure is usually not recommended except for people that are massively obese. In your situation, they would not be a good idea. You should contact your primary doctor for a reasonable weight loss program. You may benefit from a nutritionist as part of your program. Good luck.
