Better idea: Antiseptics penetrate biofilms poorly and bacteria grow right back. For bad breath, floss intensely as well as brushing, and run the floss along your tongue. If you have tonsilloliths, they can be removed by careful manipulating -- paperclips for the brave. If this is still a problem, get with an ear-nose-throat physician for workup of possible zenker diverticulum, nasopharyngeal disease, etc.

Halitosis: Bad breath can be caused by several things. One, is tooth bacteria, but your tounge has crypts that have bacteria as well. Tonsils, and acid reflux can also cause bad breath. Brushing your tounge and watching what you eat can be helpfull. Speak to your dentist and maybe a physician if you suspect reflux.
