Finger sucking: Lf you were sucking on your fingers as a child, it cannot have bacteria now in the back of your tongue. You should see an ENT doctor to see if you have anything else that is the cause of your bad breath, if y our primary care doctor cannot find any reason. Also, scrape your tongue after eating or at least twice a day. This will help to get rid of the build up on your tongue after you eat and decre.

Rare: Sucking your thumb as a child would rarely create a bad breath issue in an adult. May need a swab of the tissue to help determine what is causing the bad breath. Could be other problems associated with the bad breath...Gum disease, meds, supplements, infections, etc. I recommend seeing a dentist to discuss your problems.
