If that symptom occurs predictably each month after ovulation it could be consistent with premenstrual syndrome, although it happens at an early time than most women who experience this syndrome. Premenstrual syndrome typically resolves soon after period begins. You can take OTC analgesic as needed if pain becomes intolerable. Take care.

Pain which occurs with ovulation is often referred to as mittelschmerz. It usually only lasts for a few days, occurs usually only on one side, and resolves spontaneously. If your pain is persistent though, that is unusual. You should see your primary care doctor or a gynecologist for evaluation if it persists. Good luck.
