When i have my fibroids removed the doctor told me that i had small ovaries is that the reason that i'm not ovulating and having periods because he told me that i wasn't in the stage of premenopausal so tell me what is going on?

There is a: fairly wide range of normal size variation for the ovaries. After menopause, due to lack of hormonal stimulation, the ovaries shrink(atrophy) and are essentially non functional. If you are premenopausal, this shouldn't be the case, unless there is a disturbance of hormone responsiveness or activity. So, ask your doc whether your ovaries are abnormally small or just on the small side of normal.
