A gallbladder polyp will not affect bilirubin levels found on lab tests. If the bilirubin is elevated, talk to your doctor about what the cause is in your situation. There can be many causes, but gallbladder polyps will not generally result in that. Good luck.

Good Doctors I had ultrasound done. Liver: The liver measures 15.5 cm. IMPRESSION: 1. There are small polyps within the gallbladder. 2. No other acute changes are seen. what does this mean ?
How effective is the ultrasound at seeing small amounts of fibrosis or cirrhosis in the liver? Do radiologists get a good enough view of the liver, gallbladder, and bile ducts with this test to detect very early damage in these areas?
