Since I can’t actually see your teeth, it is difficult to say if treatment is necessary. You might want to use a toothpaste that helps in the demineralization of teeth. Also, exercise good oral hygiene. Since you were informed of the situation, possibly wait until your next recall appointment, and see if condition changes for better or worse.

Do you know what a soft spot is? As a dentist if I can probe an instrument into the tooth and it goes into the enamel almost a millimeter or more and an x-ray shows decay, than it is best to restore the tooth, or have your dentist watch it until next visit. Good oral hygiene will prevent further decay.
