Kidney infection (pyelonephritis) is usually presented with flank pain, high fever (more than 101) with chill and sometimes with GI symptoms. Your symptoms are not severe enough for pyelonephritis but it can't be ruled out. Nausea could be the side effect of liquid cephalexin. Just continue the medication for now, retake the dose if you throw it up within 2 hours of ingestion, good luck.

Take the cephalexin after a light meal. Low grade fever is not kidney infection. If nausea persists let the prescriber know so another med can be given. Hope you do well
