If your neck feels abnormal, you should probably get a CT scan or an ultrasound of your neck. Perhaps your thyroid gland is enlarged or you have enlarged lymph nodes. Your doctor should examine your neck to figure out what is wrong. If your breathing is getting worse, you should go to the nearest emergency room for evaluation and treatment. Good luck to you!

In such circumstances other possible sources are considered and focused exam and imaging is needed. Musculoskeletal conditions are notoriously common and hard to diagnose and should be included in the differential diagnosis.
