A member asked:

Is a recurring sore throat a sign of early hiv, coupled with intermediate night sweats and headaches? i tested negative using 4th generation elisa on day 57, is that conclusive to rule out hiv but then what could be causing the symptoms stated?

No, recurrent sore throat does not suggest HIV. And it is impossible to have HIV symptoms and also have a negative blood test. There must be a hundred conditions other than HIV that cause these symptoms. See a doctor if they continue and/or you remain concerned. But please no more questions about it on HealthTap; all the answers so far are petty much the same, right?
