I assume you've had a head injury that wasn't felt to be serious. Even seemingly trivial head injuries can be followed with headaches& lightheadedness for a week or more. However with profound degrees of lightheadedness you should be checked for anemia & postural hypotension by having your BP tested sitting& then upon standing to see if it drops too low. Return to your doctor. You need to be fully evaluated for your lightheadedness and faintness. Possible mechanisms include blood pressure issues, anemia, thyroid problems, hypoglycemia, and others. Get proactive and have your doctor fully evaluate your symptoms.
