That is a common sign of alcoholic hepatitis. You should stop alcohol consumption at once and you do not need to know how long the bilirubin level becomes normal. If you continue to drink alcohol, you will for sure end up with alcoholic cirrhosis and then bilirubin level is no longer relevant to the eventual outcome or prognosis. Take care!
