Could not eating or drinking for 13 or 14 hours cause a elevated bilirubin test which was ->22.all other liver function tests ok and i look/feel fine.

May due to hemolysis: After draw blood, it sits there before it forms clot. At this time, some blood cells can lysis itself , makes the bilirubin increase. You can ask a lft test to differentiate direct and indirect bili.
