The trigeminal nerve provides sensory innervation to the entire face but has no role in swallowing. Not clear, to me, why you are engaging in anatomical speculation regarding your emerging symptoms. Instead, get proactive, contact your doctor, and get examined and diagnosed.

The trigeminal nerve is a sensory nerve. Usually people with trigeminal neuralgia do not have any swallowing difficulties. Maybe the pain that you have is unrelated to the swallowing problems, but it sounds as though you need a specific diagnosis made. You should see your primary care doctor or a neurologist. You also may need to be seen by a gastroenterologist for the dysphagia. Good luck.
