A member asked:

33 yo f, previously ran 10-15mi weekly at 9:30 pace with avg. 150-160 hr. after 9 month-long bout of reactive arthritis + covid, hr now staying around 190 for simple incline walking in spite of 6+ mos. reconditioning. should i get this looked into?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

I think a cardiac evaluation in the form of resting EKG, echocardiogram, treadmill stress test, is warranted as Covid could have caused some myocardial damage. I assume thyroid & pulmonary function are ok and there's no anemia.
