Deconditioning can happen rapidly. Your best bet is to find an activity you enjoy - tennis, jogging, Pilates, swimming, and start with very small doses - 5 minutes, 10 minutes, every day if possible. Do not be discouraged. Getting back your energy need not be painful. Be sure to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 cups/day) and optimize your diet with fruits, vegetables, fiber and lean protein.
