Done with treatment for hpylori, on 40 mg prilosec daily post treatment (5 days since last dose), i still have heartburn is this due to the antibiotics killing good bacteria, is this normal?

Persistent "heartburn" after Prilosec may indicate the continued persistence of H.Pylori . Ask your GI specialist or GYN physician about another course of antibiotics for H. Pylori.

Most often, H. pylori itself does not cause symptoms unless an ulcer is present. H. pylori typically does not cause heartburn either. If you are having persistent upper gastrointestinal symptoms after having completed the treatment for H pylori , you should see your doctor for follow up or a gastroenterologist. Good luck.
