My husband is in horrible pain its so bad its causing nerve pain he was given 2 percocet you need a prescription for that is there something over the counter like percocet that he can have other than tylenol or ibuprofen there not strong enough?

The right question to find out is what is the cause of this pain? Once the cause is diagnosed, then treatment can be directed at the cause. Percocet contains an opioid which is a very addicting medication. There is no over the counter med that is like an opioid. But, if the pain is diagnosed, then a treatment aimed at the diagnosis can be rendered so that this med becomes unnecessary. See your doc
