So around the same time at 1am my baby gets super fussy and when i go to feed him he's get really squirmy and restless and cries. why does he do this?

Honestly, that sounds like every baby that I have ever been around. If however you think that the fussiness is excessive for this particular baby or if you notice any fevers or other visible changes, you should speak to the pediatrician. Congratulations on the new baby, and good luck.
