I had sports injury 14 months ago on my ankle. my ligament have complete tear but i am able to walk without pain. and not able to run or jump. should i go for surgery or it will recover by own?

It has been more than a year but you are still not able to run or jump so a reevaluation with an orthopedist is well recommended.

When ligaments have been torn the muscles are the only thing available to support the joint Strengthen your muscles and still have instability then surgery is indicated. Podiatrist with proper training recommended. FYI. The American Academy of Orthopedics foot and Ankle were originally taught in Seattle by podiatrist at Harborview Hospital along with Dr Sigmond Hansen MD in the late 1970s
