For several months, my urine has had a very strong ammonia odor. the smell lingers even after its flushed. it could burn your nose hairs its so chemical-like! frequency and color is normal. doc says no uti, and no dehydration. no diet change?

If a urinalysis with a microscopic examination of the sediment and a urine culture were all completely normal or negative, the odor isn't significant as infection& proteinuria have been ruled out. I assume your urine is quickly flushed & doesn't stand around. To mitigate the odor increase water intake to 2 quarts daily.
