A member asked:

38 yo f : my mpv was high at 13.5, platelets @ 233. everything else in range. same results last year. is this a cause for concern? dr said they don't notice those results by itself, but i'm very worried?

All laboratory/imaging results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, I agree with your doctor in that the finding is not a cause for concern. Wish you good health!
