My vitamin d 25 hydroxy level is 33.7 ng/ml. my dr says it's normal but not optimal, and that i should take 1000-2000iu vitamin d supplement per day. i live in northeast us, but i get heart palpitations when i take this supplement. advice?

I would not assume that palpitations would result from taking a D supplement. It may be a coincidence or something quite different. It would be wise to report the symptom to your doc and let them decide whether any testing on you should be done as a result.
