These are typical symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome. But other problems also are possible, such as parasites and other intestinal problems. Discuss with your doctor. Good luck.

Your symptoms certainly could be consistent with irritable bowel syndrome. If the symptoms have been stable for a while, you could give yourself a trial of increasing the amount of fiber in your diet, perhaps even adding in Metamucil once a day. If this does not help, or if you develop new or worsening symptoms, you should see your doctor.

I agree with Dr. S. Have you had an ultrasound of the gall bladder. Gall stones or even sludge in the gall bladder can cause RUQ discomfort radiating around to the back. Do you have a family history of gall bladder problems? If you develop severe attacks of RUQ pain, consult an abdominal surgeon for an opinion.
