left abdomen 3ins below ribs down feels a little sore and is slightly tender. is this most likely ibs or gas? if dangerous itd be severe pain right?

Pain: Your tenderness could just be muscular and associated with your abdominal wall. If you had IBS you would have other symptoms. If it is gas then this is easily removed with an anti gas medicine

Yes: Gas filled or cramping bowel can lead to localized tenderness that resolves after passing gas or having a BM. IBS commonly causes such cramping.
