Have a small, round yellow cyst show up after a head cold/virus on the upper side edge of my tonsil. ent said it's a lymphoepithelial cyst (saw photo) and just monitor for a few months. do these tonsil cysts just drain, pop or go away on their own?

It is either a retention cyst or a lymphoepithelial cyst, the latter is rarely seen on tonsil. Cyst will likely persist and it should be removed if it becomes symptomatic or it enlarges quickly. Cyst can be removed along with the affected tonsil.
