This is the remanence of the blood clot. Keep area clean and flush out any debris .Don't eat sticky foods that could get into hole. See your dentist for a post surgical exam now.

Is there pain associated after you loose the clot? Is the pain getting worse? With these condition you may have dry socket. If the no further pain, a new clot has formed and the healing process continued as normal. Dry socket treated with antibiotic and application of dry socket paste.
