Why do psychiatrists keep prescribing antidepressants for panic disorder when in fact these antidepressants can even worsen anxiety or panic attacks because antidepressants are more stimulating? please enlighten me. thank you?

The medications are mostly mood modulators by their effects on the brain chemicals. It is also known that depression is actually a state in the spectrum of the variability of the chemical pathways and some may actually go to the other extreme of mania is why it is called Bipolar disorder. The medications are not necessarily stimulants but more like modulators in the chemical pathway in the brain.
