Taking metoprolol 25mg daily. will taking 81mg (low dose) aspirin raise blood pressure? bp usually normal with metoprolol. i took one aspirin several hours ago & checked bp was 127/90. drank soda & ate a candy bar an hour before checking bp.

NO: Low dose ASA will not affect your blood pressure. (In fact regular dose aspirin has not been implicated at therapeutic levels. Hope this is helpful! DrZ
