This is a complex situation. We need to know more about the high PTH level/s. What is the serum calcium level?. A second opinion is recommended to further investigate now and avoid unnecessary delay.

Left thyroid nodule (2.5). FNA Cytology shows cellular follicular lesion suggestive of neoplasm, oncocytic type. Then further Afirma testing shows Bethesda IV and Benign. Dr says not cancer. Is the Afirma accurate? Should I be worried?

I have a 4cm benign (per FNA) follicular thyroid nodule. Nodule is not easily palpated. I have difficulty swallowing that is causing choking. Remove or wait 6 months? Is the chance of the FNA missing follicular cancer high enough to influence?
