I have a 4cm benign (per fna) follicular thyroid nodule. nodule is not easily palpated. i have difficulty swallowing that is causing choking. remove or wait 6 months? is the chance of the fna missing follicular cancer high enough to influence?

Thyroid nodule/choke: Better see your PCP about this fast! Your difficulty swallowing is VERY concerning! DO NOT WAIT FOR 6 MONTHS!

I would advise remov: Thyroid nodules of this size have a higher risk of malignancy....FNA is only helpful when it is positive for Cancer. Otherwise we should consider removal now.
